What???.
Best burger in Texas---NO WAY! What is all the hype about? Burger was a little dry and onion rings were nothing special. Try Culvers up in FlowerMound, now were talking about a good burger!

Bland burgers.
I believed the hype on this place as "the best burger in Texas" and checked it out. Major disappointment. The regular burger is dry and overpriced. The chili cheeseburger was better because the chili made it a little moister, but no way was it worth its $6 price tag. In fact, everything here is overpriced. If this is the best burger in Texas, I'll stick to BBQ.

Totally overrated.
I don't understand why this place is so overrated. I was told that they make the best burger in the country. I think that if you like dry flavorless burgers then this is your place. I guess if you tell people that horseshit is peanut butter long enough they will believe you. If you think bigger is better this place has that but, I believe that better is better even though I am in Texas. I can name several places better than this totally overated place. I watched how they cooked their meat. You couldn't get a fresh burger unless you have 15 minutes to wait for them to cook that ball of meat so, they pre cook the meat and let it sit until it's ordered thus you have a dry hunk of no flavor. Just because someone could pay the rent doesn't mean the food is great. I think the masses are asses.

Food Fell Short of Expectations.
I am new to Fort Worth and having been here only 6 weeks, I had not found a place to get a really good burger. After consulting with several of my colleagues in my office, I marched my family down to Kincaid's for a good old-fashioned hamburger that will certainly be the best I have ever eaten.
I ordered a cheeseburger and onion rings. The onion rings were very good but the burger fell woefully short. It was a good sized burger, but it lacked flavor and tasted like it was cooked on a George Foreman grill (not taking anything away from George).
Over all, I liked the nostalgic look back at the old drugstore/grocery store burger joint, but the burger didn't live up to the hype.

Kincaid's, whats all the fuss about?.
Kincaid's reputation exceeds it's quality. The burgers are perhaps a little better than average, but not really that special. The French fries are worse than ordinary. How can you have a good hamburger without really good French fries? It's not like good fries are rocket science.
The "ambiance" is about as good as early military mess hass.

Best Burger in Texas.
If you want the best hamburger, this is the place. They used to have a broader menu, but uts now scaled down to mostly burgers, because that's what everyone wants. Fries are mediocre. Ambiance still reflects the grocery store that Kincaid's once was. Can be very crowded before TCU games or when the Stock Show is in town, but its worth the wait

With patties this juicy and thick, it's no wonder this Fort Worth burger joint has been an experience since 1946..
In Short
Though hidden in a strip mall as "Chas. Kincaid's Gro. Market," the legions of cars and motorcycles out front give the joint away. Inside, not much seems to have changed over the decades: the acid green concrete walls, sliding glass display case, red-checkered tablecloths and low-slung ceiling fans lend a vintage air. Even the burgers, fresh and succulent as they are, come retro, wrapped white paper.
