Excellent Sylist with great talent and wonderful customer service. Over the past three years, I have been to numerous stylists in the DFW area and never really been pleased with the cuts I have gotten. Changing hair stylists is a big deal to me. After my most recent stylist butchered my hair on the second visit, I was determined to find someone who could give me a great haircut. Based on other online reviews and convenient location, I decided to give Mouton's a try. I called Mouton's and explained to them my situation and asked them for a recommendation for a more experienced stylist. They recommended Tiffany, so I made an appointment with her. When I arrived for my appointment, the front desk was friendly and offered me something to drink. Tiffany came to greet me right on time. She spent more time talking with me about what I wanted, did not want, how often I shampoo my hair, styling routine, etc than any stylist has ever spent with me. She even got some photo books that we looked at together to get style ides both what I liked and what she thought suited my face shape and body type. Throughout the entire process, I felt that she was really listening to me. I love the cut that she gave me even though it is going to take a while to get to what I really want due to previous mistakes by other stylists. Throughout the cut, Tiffany continued to give me instructions regarding how to dry my hair, when to use a round brush, etc. I was in and out in a hour. Tiffany is passionate about her job and it shows in her work. I would highly recommend Tiffany if you are looking for an excellent cut for a reasonable price. Even if her $71 price is high for you, I would suggest you try her. I am sure you will love her work.
Most Unprofessional Salon/Terrible Customer Service/Bad Cut and Color.
My first experience at Mouton's salon was not a good one - not only was the stylist was smacking her gum the whole time, she was applying a colorizing treatment to my hair when two new stylists approached us and said, "Wow isn't that going to completely damage her hair? It will definitely be fried after this!" I was appalled! After all of that, the color treatment didn't take and my hair looked exactly the same. [I went to another salon after that and it was fixed the way I wanted right away.]
My second experience came when my mother asked me to go with her to Mouton's while she was getting her hair cut. I was minding my own business when a stylist [that I've never met before, not my mother's stylist] came up to me, began messing with my hair and said, "Girl it looks like you just got done doing something you shouldn't have been!" [aka after-sex hair?] Again, i was appalled. I am not usually one to complain, but the staff at Mouton's is very unprofessional and rude, to be frank. This time I wasn't even the client and I was treated poorly. Avoid this salon at all costs!!!
The prices may be cheap, but you get what you pay for.
gorgeous ambiant salon w/ fantastic hair experts!. I called to make my 1st appt and I was trying to get in immediately and I was tld they were booked up but wld call me if there was any cancellations so I could get in and shortly I got a call to let me know they could get me in. Kelly highlighted my hair and base colored the underneath and cut and styled my hair and it looks the best it has ever looked! I'm very pleased and she got my hair exactly as I wanted it. The price was great as well as the experience and the atmosphere. I felt like a celebrity! I can't speak highly eneugh about all of it! The tools and products were awesome too! Thanks Kelly and to all at Mouton! You have a new loyal customer! : )

I have been going to Mouton's for 15 years - Absolutely the best place to get your hair done the way you want it.
The person who complained is probably the person I saw come in and get hysterical because she didn't have an appointment and thought she could walk in. She was rude to begin with. The owners did everything they could to work with her but she walked out slamming the door.
Best Service. I went to Mouton's Salon today and received excellent customer care. Even on the phone as I was making the appt. (they were closed when I called, but I received a call back in less than 1 hour) they were incredibly friendly. I will come back! I love my hair cut! Thanks, Erica!
Non-existent customer service. If you want to be treated rudely by stylist and owner alike, feel bad about yourself, and be unsatisfied with the services you paid for, Mouton Salon is the place for you!
