Ripped Off. I took my car in for a free estimate a couple years ago because my transmission was going out. The car was still driveable. After a couple of hours he called me and said that the free estimate would not tell him enough and he needed to take apart the transmission and it would be $200. After he took apart the transmission he told me it would cost $1500 to replace it. I decided the car was not worth it and so I went to pick it back up. He refused to put the car back together so I had to pay him $50 to tow it back to my house on a wrecker. After it was all over, I took my drivable car in for an estimate and $250 later he towed it back to my house in pieces.
Great Service.
1. My girlfriend's son took his 2003 Mustang to Lone Star transmission in Keller. She was told $1900 for a rebuilt differential because the one in the car was no good. We towed car to Eagle Transmission. The cost was $117.99 to replace a broken pin. Who would you trust nw to work on your car's transmission or differential?
2. I took my Dodge Ram 1500 for transmission service. Good thing I did. Had broken snap rings...saved me from a ruined transmission.
