I tried this salon a while back and did not have a good experience. First, I don't know if they beat and whip their reception staff or what, but they were rude, rushed and angry. I guess if I had to stand behind that desk all day, I'd be mad too. When I checked in, I was handed a "ticket" that had my name and service on it. How tacky to have the customer carry around their service ticket! The receptionist then called my stylist over a loudspeaker just before I was hearded to the shampoo area where there were several other ladies waiting to get shampooed. After making it through that assembly line, I was greeted by my stylist, who was polite and funny and did a decent job with my cut. Upon check-out, I took my ticket to the desk under the "check out" sign (again, tacky). The girl ran my card, asked if I wanted to tip and was done with me. I was shocked to learn my cut was less than $50! Personally, I feel you get what you pay for. While my stylist was friendly, the quality of service was just ok and the atmosphere was horrible. By the time I left, I had an awful headache.
Overall, this place is basically "Betty's Beauty Box". There was no personal attention at all and I felt like just another head of hair on a conveyor belt. The majority of their clients I observed were the kinds of ladies that get their hair washed and "set" every week. Nothing wrong with that, just not my style of salon. To their regulars, they're very nice. But if you're new, don't expect any guidance or friendly service. Shelton's, unfortunately, is the salon equivalent to going to the DPS. As much as Fort Worth is developing, I feel like this city is growing beyond "beauty shops".

Tyler, the worst makeup "artist" ever!!!.
While it was convenient to have my hair done at the same place as my makeup for a very important wedding, i t was a bad decision to use Tyler for my makeup. If you have your makeup done at Shelton's request someone other than Tyler!!
She rushed through the application, didn't listen to what I asked for, and is cold and snobby. I guess she was in such a hurry to make her next $60, that she didn't care what I looked like. The whole experience was awful. I had to go back to my hotel and scrub it off and redo it myself.
