Great haircut at Salon Purple

Went to the salon for the first time today. Elle took a lot of time with me before she started working on my hair. She did a really great job and added tons of volume. The salon is adorable, the owner is so warm and welcoming. I will go back again and again and Elle will be my stylist for a long time to come.

Great great haircuts! Katy rocks!

This is a great place to get your hair cut. You will leave looking like a supermodel, and for only forty bucks a cut. Katy is quite possibly the best stylist ever.

The place needs a bit of an updated look. The contrasting lime and dark purple paint look like a tween's bedroom. And I'm not crazy about Pravana products. But it's really no reason to miss this place.

Excellent, highly recommend Salon Purple!

I tried Salon Purple for the 2nd time today. I originally went a while ago and had Erica cut off 18 inches of my hair... whew! that is scary! But she did an EXCELLENT job and made sure I was sure about my decision. I went again for my 2nd visit today. I had Erica give me a cut/shape as well as full highlights. I have lots of fine hair and it is NOT easy to cut. I have never had my hair foiled and have been dying my hair black for years. I was nervous about the highlights. But Erica is very confident and sure of her work. I wanted to steer away from black without completely damaging my hair. Erica suggested carmel highlights so that we can easily transition away from jet black. LOOOVE my hair! I love the cut, I love the color. It is still healthy! No damage at all. I highly recommend Salon Purple and Erica. She is terribly sweet and LISTENS. No one is pushy and the salon is edgy and fun. It is in a some-what less than fancy :) part of town but do not let that fool you. They have something special going on over there! and PS, I had my hubs drive me and decided he needed a cut, too...and his hair looks SO good! He normally goes to knockouts but now he and I will both be regular SP clients! :D

Pleasant surprise!! Great Salon! Kristy is the best so far!

Kristy! Kristy! Kristy!... All I can say is O---M---G!!! After going to a salon on 7th street for the past year, I started to realize I was getting duped and milked for all the money I was willing to spend on a crap job haircut. I decided to try Salon Purple and Kristy did my cut and color. I was absolutely amazed with how much of an excellent job she did. She cut my hair exactly how I asked and managed to fix my crap job haircut. She actually made my hair look longer than what it was before, even after cutting off the dead ends! My color and highlights looked amazing!! It was exactly what I asked for and looked super natural.She wasn't pushy and didn't push product on me like so many other places that I've been to. The salon was creatively decorated. You wouldn't expect this place to be so great because of the location. Don't let it fool you. I would have expected Kristy to be in some upscale Dallas location charging me bookoo bucks for what I received. I was pleasantly surprised and will be a lifer of Kristy from here on out. You must check this out! Great experience... By far....

I felt so comfortable

It has been YEARS since I let another person cut my hair (about 8 years to be exact). I'm of the belief that if THEY screw it up, that I WILL still have to pay for it - so it's just easier to do it myself. Well I had reached a point where I was no longer happy with my tresses & REALLY REALLY REALLY needed some professional hands. My husband got me the Groupon for Christmas - & I must say... it may have been the BEST present I got.

Appointment setting was easy; staff was so sweet; & Terry even made my husband feel comfortable. Michael was my stylist - this cute little thing that I just adored the minute I saw him. Since I hadn't ALLOWED anyone to touch my hair in about 8 years, I was extremely nervous (& even teared up) but Michael almost instantly put me at ease. We discussed whether I needed a cut, a color, or both - & he even asked which was more important to me... no one ever cared to ask before!

We decided to just stick with a cut & ended up chopping almost 6 inches off of my long, fine hair!! (It almost reached my butt!) I now have just-below-the-shoulder length hair, with beautiful layers that frame my face & we stuck to my natural color. Michael did SUCH a great job at making me feel comfortable that I hugged him when he was done.

I will undoubtedly be a regular. If you're looking for a comfortable atmosphere with genuine experience & expertise, go out of your way to see these wonderful people. It's a cute little kitchy salon & will definitely be your new hair haven. It is mine!
