In middle of claim with them & getting absolutely nowhere! 1st thing they did was total my car then refuse me a rental. Said once they total they do not have to pay for rental. I have no transportation to doc or to find another car IF they ever tell me what they will pay for my car. Understand, I am not the insured. This is how they are treating the people you accidentally run into. I'm pretty sure they're a bunch of crooks based on how they are treating me and expect a lawyer or state insurance agency to be involved before claim is settled. Adjuster called me when he got the assignment but has not called since. Wreck was on 8/25. No trust from me here. I do not believe they are dealing with me in good faith. If you are paying for rental on your policy, don't expect to be able to collect. Also remember, all medical and rental is handled by reimbrsement only. You must pay and"hope" they will approve the need and amount of what you paid. They have not given me any guidance on those questions either. Good luck to the insurance buying public out there. Stick with a company you HAVE HEARD OF.
WORST INSURANCE COMPANY TO WORK WITH. They take the pinnacle award for having the most customer wait time. Companies like this should not have a license to do business. Will be reporting Empower to the Texas Insurance Commission.
Love these guys! I am not very fluent in insurance as most people aren't and I had a claim about six months ago. They were very informative and accomodating in an already stressful situation. They put my mind at ease and helped me get back to my day to day efficiently. Any other time I call them for help on my policy they have always been courteous. I have and continue to recommend them to anyone.

I have insurance with Empower and had a claim, my adjuster took the time to explain what was needed to get my claim handled quickly. Once she had the information needed my claim was settled and vehicle repaired. This was my 1st accident and was not sure what would happen, I was glad she took the time to explain the process. Thanks for the great service.
Terrible. Must be Empower staff authoring the positive reviews. Is it a coincidence that all the positive reviews occur on Aug 15 or 16?
My wife has had a horrible experience with this company. We can only confirm what others have said. Extremely poor customer service. Overly long process.
I would never purchase insurance from this company nor would I ever want anyone to get into a fender bender with some someone who has this insurance.
As an Insurance Agent this company has horrible customer service and poor response time. I definitely would not recommend them to anyone.
Worst Insurance ever. Wife got hit on the side by an Empowered client. Over two weeks to get an answer, drop off vehicle at body shop, no car rental (reimbursement only), did not get reimbursed, got credit while truck in shop only 21 days out of the 43 days truck spent in shop, was laugh at, treated like a criminal by adjuster and supervisor, no return phone calls, unable to leave messages (voice mail full), and to top it off, did not approve all damage occurred by the accident. Worst F$%#@^G insurance!!!!!!!!!!
I cancelled my policy two weeks before it was supposed to end. They refunded only 1/4 instead of 1/2. When I asked why, a rude customer service representative in the underwriting department was talking over me with an aggressive tone. I am an accountant myself so when I asked the bill to look at the charges, she asked me to hold and hung up on me. When I complained to the supervisor, she left a memo saying that she accidentally hung up and tried calling back but got the voicemail. Liar! Nobady called me back. I am glad I switch to another company for cheaper even. Geico is way cheaper and I am getting excellent customer care. I pay half of what I used to.
I am a bored housewife, I will call Better Business Bureau, the attorney general and find other sites to give them bad reviews.
