Rip OFF Alert!!!.
I was given a gift certificate for 3 massages. I was informed the gift card wouldn't be honored because prices had changed. I had to pay a $40 membership fee in order to use my gift card. I was told the membership fee would allow me to purchase an additional 3 massages for $40 each. However; after my 3 gift card sessions, I was told I needed to pay an additional $40 membership fee to buy more massages. I couldn't believe the run-around they were giving me. I asked to speak with a manager and was given more of a run-around, apparently managers are rarely on premises.
In all fairness, the facility was clean and well decorated. The massage therapist was excellent. I just felt frustrated and tense all over again due to the $40 "membership fee policy".
This place is a rip-off!.
Do not purchase a membership. This outfit not only has magical capabilites but use fine print in a contract to steal your money.
MAGIC - they manage to turn a 60 minute massage into 40 minutes and a 90 minute session into 70 minutes. Amazing!
If you fail to renew your annual agreement you are automatically cancelled. No notification is furnished that it's time to renew. Even if you have pre-paid sessions in your account, you lose them. In my case it was over $200.00. After complaining I was told I needed to speak to a manager. Naturally, one was not available when I called and supposedly, a manager would return my call. Right!!!!!!!!! That didn't happen.
You know what they say, tell 10 people and they tell 10 people, and they tell 10 people, and..................
Massage envy is a rip off.
Do not purchase a membership; it is really not worth the money, its way to hard to get to get an appointment. I really regret doing that it was a waste of money and when you speak to the people there they could care less. Also when you do get in at times they will try to substitute another masseuse. All of this has happened to me before
