Money suckers...poor business policies.. Warning! Do not tan here! I have been a loyal customer of Texas Tan for 3 years. My monthly payment of $35 was automatically deducted from my account each month like clockwork. There may have been 2 times in that time frame that the payment was denied, but as soon as they called me I always made the payment promptly. I moved to Keller and began tanning at the Keller location about 2 years ago. When it no longer became feasible for me to tan there I spoke with the Keller salon about discontinuing and they informed me that I had to drive out to the Lakeworth location (the one I originally signed up at) to cancel. OK...waste of gas, but so be it. I took the time and drove out there, signed the contract to end the service, was informed that I would be charged for one more month as you have to give 30 days notice. OK...agreed. I received a letter 7/28/09 stating that I owe Texas Tan $134.85 which includes an NSF fee. What? I called to clear this up and was told that since my last payment, May, was declined I was continually charged for June and July. If this is not paid by August 30th, I will incur further charges. This is WRONG. I totally understand paying the last month plus the NSF fee...that is what I agreed to, but how is it right that they continue to charge me each month? I spoke with the owner of the Lakeworth salon, JORDAN, and after running in circles and her explanation not making a lick of sense I asked her for the number of the owner. I was told that she will not give me that and her or the collection agency are the only people that can help me with this. BAD BAD BUSINESS. You will get screwed...save your money for a more reputable salon. I work an honest 40 hours a week, my income is stretched thin as it is with all the necessities and my two kiddos extracurricular activities. I have worked hard the past few years to pay off bad debt despite the declining economy. This is simply a low class method of wringing every last drop out of honest paying customers. SAD :o(
