Not a great experience. Very average
(PRICEY$$) pedicure.
Got a pedicure with a friend as what was supposed to be a nice gift. It was not a spa experience at all, just standard salon feel. I thought that going to a spa for a pedicure and paying more than twice what I would pay at a standard salon would yield a salon experience, but it was just an average pedicure. The nail technicians were pretty immature, bantering back and forth, talking about their "chores" at the salon, and paying more attention to that than to giving a good pedicure. I was shocked when she started painting my nails because I figured there was no way that was all the massage I was going to get... but it was. I can't speak to the rest of the spa, but would not recommend wasting your $$ on a pedicure there.
I am going to need to see a doctor. Went in for an 80 min custom couple's massage... First, it was non descript. One of the biggest wastes of money I could say I've ever spent on a massage (I've had massages everywhere from the best 5 star hotel in Beverly hills to Thai massages in a strip mall). After about 30 minutes I requested a "firmer" massage. This guy had no idea what he was doing and proceeded to dig his elbows into my back to the point where I needed to just take 3 advil. My partner had a woman that did absolutely nothing but rub her hands across his back. He got up and said "was that really it??" between the two of us I would say we have had massages all over the world at some of the finest hotels and both of us thought it was the worst. His statement an hour later was "I think I need a massage from my massage!"
LOVE!.
Not much to say, you get what you pay for and a little more. Fresh and clean, deep in the heart of Texas.
OG
Love it.
I stayed at the Gaylord for a four day convention. I have to say just driving up to the property was amazing. The landscaping and attention to detail was something like you would see at Sea World or Disney. The entrance, lobby, resturants, courtyard... all were amazing. They really put a lot of time and money into this place and it really shows. Check in was very easy. I was given a key card to a room that someone was in already. The staff was very empathetic and very quick to upgrade me to a suite.
The Staff must have had some customer service training as a requirement because they were all so helpful and nice. I went to the sports bar (fantastic by the way with all the tv screens) one night and was ordering drinks at the bar with some friends and we went back the next night and the bar tender must have remembered my name off of my tab and immediately greeted me "Welcome back Mr. Smith"
Everything from the Glass Cactus, to the cigar bar with an on hand cigar specialist, this was the best place I have ever stayed at.
Try the spa you will not be dissapointed :)
I want to go back with my family..... Thanks to all the staff of the Gaylord for making a great experience..
This is an amazing spa experience. This is an amazing Hotel and Spa. If you have never been to Texas this is a must stop. The dining experience here is enormous, Many many flavors, wine bars, and food choices. The spa has body wraps, facials, massage everything you can think of. The spa is on the top of my list for gifts and the day spa experience. Come to Gaylord where EVERYTHING really is bigger and better in Texas.
Great staff and service. Relache Spa has very friendly staff and excellent service. I always enjoy going there and being greeted with a smile. The staff goes the extra mile every time to make sure my time there is the best. Another great part of going to Relache Spa is that when you are done, you can walk around the Gaylord Texan, shop and visit one of the restaurants. I highly recommend it.
Editorial Review. This enormous, 25,000sqft hotel spa offers guests and visitors a menu of traditional services including body wraps, facials, massage and more.
