I went to this salon (JKS on Basswood) thinking they'd be great and I'd get a fantastic haircut. NOT. My stylist, Jessica, apparently didn't hear a word I said about how I'd like my cut. First off, that proves they're not a good stylist if they can't listen to the customer. Second, I was told she was the best they had. Again... NOT. I left almost in tears because my hair was literally hacked. Chops across the top back of my head, which I stressed I did not want anything cut above the bottom couple inches of my hair. My sides were not cut the same, chops all over my head and I ended up having to go somewhere else to have them fix it. Since July 19, 2012 I have called the owner I don't know how many times trying to get my money back. The coward hasn't even bothered to call me back nor refund my money. To me, $30 is alot of money, especially for a hack job. So now I've decided that if he won't call me or refund my money, I'll just go online to every site I can and write reviews about them. Also I'm telling anyone and everyone that I talk to about haircuts what an awful place this is and DO NOT go there. Apparently this company does not believe in customer satisfaction. If they did, he would've called me back after my first phone call and refunded my money promptly. So to anyone reading this... I'd think twice before going to get my hair cut at JKS Salon on Basswood in Ft Worth, TX. And to the owner, shame on you for the way you practice your business and not putting customers first. You should've called and refunded my money........

Love It. I have had a great experience every time I go to this salon and would highly recommend to all my friends! James is very fun and knows just what to do without me having to explain much at all. It's nice to have finally found a stylist I can trust!

Outstanding Service and Stylist. I have used Wendy as my stylist and colorest for a while it has allways been very positive. She is great and I look exceptional when I leave. My hair has never been so healthy and nice.

Talented Hair Stylists. I go to this salon whenever I can make it over to Fort Worth (I live in Dallas), because Brianna does a SUPERB job! She really listens and hits your desired look on the mark. She is very adept at color / highlights - mine look so natural. She is very sweet and full of energy. The entire staff is also always very friendly. Check out their great hair products while you're there - I recently purchased their Glam Hair Spray which is non sticky, not a heavy spray, and has strong hold. Classy salon!

Friendly staff, but doesn't listen to clients. I went to this salon because it was voted best salon of 2005 by staff and readers of the Fort Worth Weekly. The lady working at the front desk was friendly enough and so was my hairstylist. The hairstylist told me how much experience she had, where she had been trained, etc. Unfortunately, she didn't really listen when I told her how I wanted my hair. I pointed to where I wanted (a few inches below the shoulder) and she said "Oh shoulder length." So she cut it much shorter (barely shoulder length) than I asked for and she almost created a mullet hairstyle. She left some long hair in the back and then cut off all of the bottom layers in the front, so I can't do anything with it. I'm going to have to go to another hair salon so they can cut off the tail in the back and now my hairstyle (in order to look somewhat decent) is going to be several inches ABOVE my shoulder. Is there any hair stylist who actually listens to their clients?
