Just as good!. I usually go to the Arlington location, but I stopped here last week after running an errand. Although the Arlington restaurant is my favorite, I will say Piranha is consistent. The sushi was excellent as usual and the service was good as well. I speak for myself, so I don't know what some of these others are complaining about. Still A+!

Are you serious. For those who think this is the best sushi ever, you need to get out more. I have ate at a weatlh of sushi restaurants from hole in the walls to upscale so know when I have good sushi and this is not one of those times. You should not walk into any restaurant and smell fish right away. That is a bad sign. On top of that, sushi is sushi, don't dress it up or drown it in sauces and spices. Spicy tuna roll should have spicy tuna, not tuna with spicy sauce. Everything is way over priced, and if you are paying based on presentation, save your money unless you plan on eating the nicley presented plate.

Overrated. Just dropped $140 dollars there for a friend's birthday. There was nothing spectacular about this place, save the cool setup and decor so I'm not sure why it was named "reader's favorite" in the recent issue of Fort Worth Weekly. I think people who haven't had much in the way of sushi think it's good, but I do eat it often and this did not impress me..

I don't mind spending money on a good sushi dinner, but I thought the portion size of the many rolls I ordered was stingy, with the Tri-color sashimi roll being the least impressive. They might as well have brought me out a cucumber and no fish.

The one thing I did enjoy was the Vietnamese Summer Roll, which was a good portion size and taste. Otherwise, I'd just as soon spend my money elsewhere. Try Sushi Axiom or better yet, if you want simple sushi and good service, try Sushi Yoko on Camp Bowie.

FRESH Sushi, great service, awesome presentation - TheSushiGuy says you'll enjoy getting hooked!. I have been to Piranha Sushi on several occasions (both in Arlington and Fort Worth). What I find so appealing about the Fort Worth location is the overall quality of the food and consistency of the service. The ambiance of the restaurant is very trendy and modern, great for a friends or a date (keep in mind, can get a little noisy when crowded). Last night, we ate there and I will give you the 411.

Our waitress was phenomenal, very attentive, but not over bearing. We ordered the Nigiri pieces (hand formed sushi) - what everyone typically associates as sushi. A small oval hand formed of sushi rice with a small dab of wasabi and fish atop. We ordered the Salmon, seared Tuna, White Tuna, Octopus, and Squid. Along with that, we ordered Planko Crusted Spicy Tuna roll, Spicy Tuna roll and quail eggs. All the pieces were FRESH and very good, and when eating sushi, that is PARAMOUNT (Sushi is very unforgiving).

My only slight complaint lies in the following. The Planko Crusted Spicy Tuna Roll was slightly oily this time. I have had this one before, and although it is flash fried, it seemed a tad bit oily. My last small issue is with the size of some of the sushi pieces. Of the ones we ordered, the seared tuna and squid seemed adequate in size. The others were just plain small? I am talking 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch wide by about 1 1/2 inches in length and rather thin (next time I will bring a ruler). It?s not a huge deal, but something worth mentioning...none the less. Overall, I will defiantly eat here again and the one in Arlington. Again, the food is fresh, the presentation is awesome, and the service?.. I could not have asked for more. All would be perfect if not for some thin/small pieces, but I just ordered another few items, and we were filled.

Quality: 5 star, Service: 5 star, Ambiance: 4.5 star, Value: 4 star. TheSushiGuy says to check it out!

The best sushi, hands down~. I don't live in the metroplex, but I try to make it out there once a month to get a sushi fix. My old sushi place closed down :( I heard about this place because they'll be participating in the Buffalo Gap Food and Wine Summit this year, so I figured this would be a good place to try. I was amazingly shocked! It's a really cute little restauraunt. As previous reviews say, it is a bit noisy, but that comes with the hustle and bustle of the city. The service was great...but the best part, were the signiture rolls. My friend and I tried three different ones; our favorite was definetly the marry me roll, shrimp tempura, with a ginger cream topped with avacado, tuna, and strawberry. Who would have thought mixing fruit with sushi could taste so good~

I definetly recommend this place, prices are average for sushi, but quality is way up there~

Good Sushi, too noisy. We did make an appointment and was seated promptly. The sushi was good-nothing extraordinary. It was so noisy I could barely hear my friend sitting right across from me. Let alone the friend that was kitty corner. The customer service (waitress) was fair. We went across the street to Mikado Sushi the next night and had a fantastic dinner with a great atmosphere.

favorite roll : wasabi crusted salmon and vietnamese roll MUST TRY !!!!!. I love this place. Great atmosphere where i can come, have a great dinner and time with my friends! Their whole sushi menu is fabulous. They have the best martinis there that I've ever drank. I recommend this place to everyone, but one thing, i would make reservations if you decide to have dinner there. The wait can be outragous but it's well worth it ! Hope you all enjoy it as much as i did !

Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Downtown Fort Worth sushi restaurant dishes regular and signature sushi and sashimi, plus tempura and teryaki options.
