Watch out for their freight charges. If I didn't spend a lot of time putting an order together, I would have deleted it. I won't be shopping on their site again.
Awesome customer service! awesome products!. I went to lonestar on friday, i had a lot of questions and she helped me even made suggestions. the gentlemen in the shipping went over my order wth me and was very friendly. they also loaded my van. I highly recommend them! Everything I purchased was of high quality.
Horrible Horrible Customer Service. I am a soapmaker and have been using Lone Star off and on for about ten years. I truly like their fragrance oils and the prices are good, but it is at the point where it's just not worth dealing with them. I recently ordered $400 worth of oils and when they arrived I could not open a single bottle they have capped them so tight. My neighbor had to take them into his shop and put them in a vise and try to twist them open. This is a "new" procedure -- I have never had a problem opening before. When I complained, it was just like, "well get some pliers and open them that way." I kid you not. They really don't give a flying rat's patootie about their customers. The same thing happened when I called to request cheaper shipping. If I order five one ounce bottles, I am charged close to $15 for shipping. They can easily fit those items into a small flat rate priority box for $5. Another time, they discontinued a fragrance that was very popular with my customers. I called to see if they could special order me some, I would have bought a barrel if necessary. They wouldn't even try to work with me. Awful awful people. They never try to help -- they just tell you why they can't help you. They won't even entertain the idea. And forget going there in person -- they treat you like crap. I purchase about $30K worth of oils every year for my business. I will take my business elsewhere. Even though I really like their oils.
Worst Custome Service Ever.
Lone Star Candle Supply has some of the worst custmer service I have ever had to deal with. I purchased some glass jar containers for a wedding order. The wedding was desperate for some candles on short notice so I had to order the jars with two day shipping.
The day after placing my order I received an email saying my order had shipped. The next day when I tried to use the tracking number provided UPS said that number didn't exist. I didn't know what to think so I called Lone Star and talked to some of the someone who sound like they could care less about my order. When I gave them my order number the women told me my order hadn't even shipped. I couldn't believe it. I paid extra for two day shipping, and yet my order was going to arrive till 6 days later. That doesn't sould like two day shipping to me. When I asked why my order hadn't shipped she told me We had a computer glitch which caused your order not to be shipped out. I told her I paid for two day shipping to make sure the jars arrived in time for a wedding, and she preceded to tell me there was nothing she could do. It was a computer glitch. She did not offer any compensation for their mistake. When I asked if they could overnight the order to me to make sure I got my order by the time I was orginially supposed to she told me that was impossible unless I would willing to pay an extra $130.
So basically Lone Star Screwed up and I ended up having to pay an an extra $130 just to get my package on time. Lone Star did not offer anything to help make up for their mistake.
Clearly they don't care about their customers, and I will never do business with them again. Anyone interested in doing business with Lone Star should NOT they will take your money and just leave you hanging.
Horrible Customer Service. I started making candles a couple weeks ago. My first order went out a day late but I didn't complain. I order my second shipment about a week ago. People are waiting for candles they have ordered from me. I called three days after I ordered the supplies because it was still unshipped and they are only supposed to take 2 day maximum for processing. It wasn't a big deal I just wanted to know why it was late. The lady put me on hold for 20 minutes trying to find out what was wrong. Then she told me that I called the day before and changed my address which was completely false. I told her that wasn't true and she insisted I was lying! She was very rude and refused to let me speak to her manager. She told me it would be shipped that day. I told her I just wanted to cancel the order. She put me on hold for another 10 minutes and then told me that the package was already shipped. By then, I was angry! When I want my money back, all of a sudden it's been shipped? I don't think so! All I want is my money back so I can order my supplies from a reliable supplier. NEVER again will I order ANYTHING for LONESTARCANDLE SUPPLY. Awful customer service. They we're rude, disrespectful and completely unprofessional. If your looking for a candle making supplier, I suggest you look elsewhere.
